Atlantic Elevators is seeking a skilled and experienced Elevator Installer to join our team on the Outer Banks. As an Elevator Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators, and other vertical transportation systems.
You will work closely with a team of technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Elevator Installer Job Responsibilities
Installation:
- Assemble, install, and test elevator components, including motors, cables, controls, and doors.
- Align and level elevator cars and guide rails.
- Install and connect electrical wiring and control systems.
- Conduct final testing and adjustments to ensure proper operation.
Maintenance:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on elevator systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions.
- Replace worn or damaged parts.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Modernization:
- Upgrade existing elevator systems with new technology and components.
- Retrofit elevators to meet current safety standards.
Elevator Installer Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Apprenticeship or technical training in elevator installation and repair
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulic and traction elevators
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
- Spanish Speakers
- Construction Experience: 1 year
- Maintenance: 1 year
Licenses/Certifications:
- Certification from the National Elevator Industry, Inc. (NEII)
- Electrical License (Preferred)
- Elevator mechanics license (Preferred)

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
