1. Determine your needs
First, you’ll need to decide what you’re looking for. Elevator, Stair chair, Stair lift, Vertical platform lift, Wheelchair lift, & Cargo Lift, Traction, Hydraulic, or Winding Drum.
2. Figure out your budget
Does your budget include for a total renovation to be between 40k to 80k with elevator and elevator shaft being built? Or just the elevator around 20k 30k depending on options. Economic options are stairlifts between 3k to 6k.
3. Ensure that you’re able to add an elevator
Can you add an elevator per survey setbacks and property lot coverage? Please contact your Town’s planning department if not sure.
4. Select a builder
Pick a builder or decide if you want to do the work and permitting process.
5. Begin the project
Once building starts measurements are taken for ordering the Elevator. At this time you will need to pick out selections and send deposit needed for ordering.
6. estimate our lead times
Elevators have a lead time of 4-8 weeks, Stair Chairs/ Stairlifts have a lead time of 1-2 weeks, and Vertical Platform Lifts/ Wheelchair lifts have a lead time of 4-6 weeks.
7. Install the elevator
Once the elevator arrives, it will take 2 to 3 days to install.
8. Final inspection
Final inspection from AHJ from the town
